Prologue

I'll probably come back and fill this in more, but for now you are getting a very basic rundown of the details of Dillion and Leona's history.
---------------------------------------------

-Dillion and Leona met in England when they were fifteen years old. Dillion grew up with his mother and they were rather poor. Leona was on vacation for the summer with her family, who were very well off financially.
-It was young love at its best, or maybe at its worst. Before she left they decided that they were going to have sex. It was a very adult decision for two naive children to make.
-They were young and awkward and things didn't go as planned. Dillion was embarrassed and ended up leaving Leona alone in the hotel. The next day she had to leave for the States, returning home earlier than planned. That same day, Dillion's mother lost her battle with cancer.

-Leona thought that Dillion had completely walked out on her. She couldn't get a hold of him before she left, and returned home with the image of him as the boy who left her in a very personal way.
-Dillion tried to find Leona a few days later, wanting her comfort as he coped with the death of his mother. When he couldn't find her, he in turn was left with the idea that she had run away from him, just as he needed her most.

-Needless to say, neither of them were very happy with the other in the end, feeling heartbroken and alone.

-Leona went to a private boarding school called De La Salle in White Plains, NY. It was known for having a very socialite student population. They were all rich and their parents were some of the more powerful and influential people in the country, and the world, in different ways. Celebrities, politicians, business men, and more.
-Needless to say, Leona was more than surprised when the young boy from an impoverished 'family' suddenly appeared on campus the first day of junior year. He was no longer a little boy, have grown quite a lot in the past two years, and he was no longer poor.
-Dillion had turned to his estranged father, Eric, whom he honestly hated, but at least he had money.
-Dillion was nothing like the sweet boy Leona had first met. He was cocky, slept around, a typical jock and arrogant jerk. She wanted nothing to do with him.
-Lucky for her, at least in the beginning, Dillion felt the same way about her. If they did interact, it was only to fight, and they avoided even that at all costs.

-Long story short, they both would end up hurting each other greatly during their time together, doing the things that they knew would hurt each other the worst. Somehow, through near-death experiences, heart breaking betrayals, and so much more, they were still together come college. They stayed together for quite a few years.

You now know enough to understand this story! More of their history is revealed through their conversations and in these posts.

Characters To Know:
Connor Westfield - Connor was Dillion's best friend in high school and up until he moved back to England. He was also close with Leona. He use to intimidate her, but somehow the two became good friends over time. It was platonic, and they truly had a brother/sister relationship. When things would go wrong with Dillion and Leona, Connor would often take Leo's side. He and Dillion were so alike, and he always just knew that Dillion was the one at fault. It was an amusing relationship between them all, and a close one. Connor and Dillion were also like brothers, and they didn't think anything could ever change that.
Lalana Westfield nee Hajari - Connor's wife. They have been together since high school as well and she was also close with Dillion in school. She and Leona were closer after high school.
